Strengthening ecosystems to build up and sustain the everyday leader

The daughter of Pastor Charles & Connie Mack Sr., Charlene Mack, MBA is a people’s leader focused on supporting individuals and institutions in cultivating ecosystems for the healthy pursuit of equity.  A proud native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Charlene’s father was a Pastor and her mother, a strong right hand. Along their side, she witnessed the dynamics of public life intertwined with faith. The work of the ministry grounded her in the need to activate the everyday leader in order to build people power. From moving close to $3b in political wins to developing community organizers across five continents, Charlene enjoys nothing more than fostering leaders to achieve what one once believed to be impossible.  Her leadership is described as one who facilitates and coaches while leading with creativity, intentionality, agitation, and love.

From roles at Innovate Public Schools serving as their Vice President for National Trainings and Partnerships to serving as a community organizer with the Industrial Areas Foundation, her formal education consists of undergraduate studies at Howard University followed by securing a Master of Business Administration at Wake Forest University.  At Wake Forest, she received the 2019 Student Leadership Award and first place in Moscow, Russia’s 2019 IBM International Case Study competition. Although she’s grateful for her formal education, Charlene is most indebted to the informal studies that began with her sitting at her parents’ feet watching them lead change closest to those impacted by the work from the city of Charlotte to Mfangano Island in Kenya.
