As I look back over what the power of organized people has been able to accomplish, it ignites a cold anger and warm humility. I’m humbled because I’ve seen folks secure substantial wins as they chip away at breaking down inequitable systems. I’m agitated because there is a lack of representation when it comes to leadership within the field. It’s time to shake up what leadership looks like among the world-renowned community organizers. I plan to do just that - shake things up.
